Worry is a drug that's so damn easy to consume
Careful, It'll take you by the neck
Carry through the storm, and you'll see that it's dry
On the other side
I don't think that you'll find yourself inside a time machine
I don't think that you'll find it in your friends
The mirror tells you more about the what and why
Thats on the other side
Here's for the nights where you're screaming and you don't get heard
Here's for the days when you're blind and you can feel it closing in
Here's for the moments when you feel like you're the failure you can't see
ooh
I see you living pretty in a box that's full of pens
Surrounded by a wooden picket fence
Hello, good day, I told you so is what I'd say
On the other side
Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned. We need more folks paying attention to what sam's doing. This is unpretentious, forward-thinking, and fun as hell. It isn't afraid of being "un-jazzy" and it doesn't treat the standards with any amount of sanctity. This is what the spirit of jazz is really about. dillpicker
